Started in residential sales and marketing for large homebuilder. Moved to project management then division management. Then worked for publicly traded real estate development company (Landmark Land Co) as division manager of residential development of a 2200 acre master planned community.
Following the recession in the mid 80s I was the vice president in charge of a large bank's (Premier Bank) REO portfolio. We disposed of over $750 million in all types of real estate in a five year period. I then bought two private dining clubs from Club Corp of America and operated them for 16 years. During this time I also was part of a group that bought and sold Louisiana Downs racetrack.
